I Have Not Been On Line Much Lately Because The Little League Field Has Become My Second Home!I Am So Proud Of My Elliot That I Can't Help But Post This. Elliot Plays For 2 Baseball Teams Within The Same League And The Major League Team Is In First Place. Elliot Came In The Game When Bases Were Loaded And Pitched And Struck Out Every Batter To Give His Team The Win. He Is 10 Years Old And Piched To Mostly 12 Year Olds.We Are So Proud Of You !!! I Know This Is Not An Option And That It Must Be Dealt With. I Have 2 Maternal Aunts That Had Breast Cancer And My Dear Grandma Died From Ovarian Cancer. I Am Not Posting This To Seek Pitty Or "Oh How Awful "Responses From All My Blog Friends, But I am Posting To Make All Of You Aware Of How Important Every Day Is With Family And Friends And Also To Please Seek Medical Care At The First Sign Of Anything Suspiscious. A Boy And His Dog.

I am sure we all know the old saying about a boy and his best friend, well this is my sweet Elliot with his best four-legged friend Dudley. I am not thrilled with the idea of Dudley being under the covers with Elliot although Dudley did visit the beauty shop that day as did Elliot he is showing off his new hair cut too! I Have My Blog All Dressed Up For A Retro Fun Christmas. Kris At Blissful Elements Whipped It Up For Me Last Night.I am Usually All About Pink But I Do Love The Cozy Nostalgia Of The Forties And Fifties  Especially At Christmas. I Have Been Sick So Hubby Did The Blog Work For Me While I Am Taking A Break. I Really Am So Thrilled With It!

My Hubby Don And our little boy Elliot decided to make the best of the little bit of snow we have by "trying" to snow board on a few inches of snow. Elliot is getting a membership to our local ski lodge for Christmas so he can perfect his snowboarding skills. Our dog Lulu the Boston terrier decided to get in on the fun too!

The green cupboard is retro 50's and I removed the doors and it it housing my Christmas Santas and my collection of old gurley candles. Christmas Already?

Well Christmas Has Come To My Home. (sort of)  I put my white tree in my office and I thought it would be perfect to use as a back drop for my greeting card pictures and it really is quite perfect for all the chic and retro greeting cards I am doing for my store.  Elliot came into the room asking "Mom, Is Christmas coming early this year?" I explained to him my reasoning behind putting this tree up during Halloween.  Elliot came back at me with the idea of hanging all of the beautiful tags on the tree that I received from my swap. I also added the beautiful wallpaper ornaments I received from Holly of Holly Doodle designs and the beautiful collage made for me by Mary Holcomb of Oh Merci. I have a lot more to add but here it is with its branches holding beautiful gift tags made by my great blog friends! Merry Christmas in Halloween... Ho...Ho...Ho and Trick or Treat!

I Can't Wait!

   

I am so excited about this book "Under The Tree" from author Susan Wagoneer. She captures the cozy innocence of the holidays in her books. This is her latest and I cant wait to get it. I recomend this to anyone that loves nostalgic and retro Christmas images. Her books are real eye candy. Please check out her other book, "It's a wonderful Christmas" This one sits on my coffee table as soon as Halloween is over. When I look at these books I really get the feeling that I was born in the wrong era. Happy Reading!
